The purpose of this course is to provide an introduction to tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation to the SLP.  It provides an overview of why a tracheostomy or mechanical ventilation is indicated and how it impacts the Aerodigestive system and patient function.  Educational level:  Intermediate.  Contact hours: 1.5  Target audience: SLP. Satisfactory completion criteria: Complete pre-/post-test, view all modules and video clips, complete all associated quizzes, submit course evaluation. ASHA approved for .15 ASHA CEUs.
