Implementing quality fall prevention programs and reducing patient
falls takes a multidisciplinary approach to prevent falls and improve client outcomes. This
session will examine the components of client centered fall prevention collaboration
between nursing, therapy and the multidisciplinary team. The learner will identify
ways for the multidisciplinary team to work together to assess, choose and
implement fall prevention programs that are compatible with your community. This
session will also outline principles of effective documentation for nursing and
therapy to support reimbursement for fall prevention efforts. Educational level: Intermediate.
