This session explores how trauma-informed care can be used by skilled nursing providers with individuals who have experienced pervasive adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).  This session provides suggestions for using the five guiding principles of trauma-informed care: safety, trustworthiness, choice, collaboration, and empowerment, as the best clinical practice.  Educational level:  Intermediate.  Contact hours:  2.0  Target audience:  OT, COTA, PT, PTA, SLP  Satisfactory completion criteria:  Complete pre-/post-test, view all modules and video clips, complete all associated quizzes, submit course evaluation.
