LTC staff and caregivers are at risk for prolonged stress and burnout. This may have significant negative personal and professional consequences for individuals experiencing these concerns.  COVID-19 is amplifying all of the factors that lead to burnout and stress. As a result, recognition of this problem and development of adequate coping personal and organizational strategies is essential in dealing with this challenge in LTC settings.  This seminar will describe the physiological effects of stress and identify the causes, symptoms, and consequences of stress and burnout.
