The purpose of this course is to educate healthcare professionals to types and incidence of medical errors, how to prevent practice errors in various clinical settings, and Joint Commission statutes related to medical errors.  Contact hours:  2.5  Target audience:  OT, COTA, PT, PTA, SLP  Satisfactory completion criteria:  Complete pre-/post-test, view all modules and video clips, complete all associated quizzes, submit course evaluation.  ASHA approved for .25 ASHA CEUs. AOTA Content Focus -- Professional Issues: Legal, Legislative & Regulatory Issues.
