This course shares factors related to pharmaceutical actions, to include citing research of how the reduction in kidney and liver function in older people can cause certain medications to trigger toxic and negative outcomes.  The resulting evidence based factors will be shared, to include lists of which medications may be inappropriate for older people, and how the healthcare provider can utilize this knowledge for the best outcome of our residents.  Educational level: Intermediate.
