The McKenzie Method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) is an individually tailored method of assessment and treatment for lumbar pain. The MDT approach uses active patient involvement and education. The long-term goal of the MDT is to teach patients how to manage their own pain using exercise and other strategies. This seminar will explain the introductory concepts of MDT and how to integrate this program as part of the PT plan of care.
