Occupational therapists in all settings are now required, to put at the front of our care, the client’s understanding of why they are receiving OT, what they hope to accomplish, and what environments, supports, barriers, and performance patterns directly impact the goals that they’ve identified.  This course describes the transition from ‘activity’ to ‘occupation’ and the emergence of the occupational profile, including steps and examples to collecting an occupational profile as part of the assessment process and to support the development of a comprehensive plan of care.  Educational level:  Introductory.  Contact hours:  1.0  Target audience:  OT, COTA.  Satisfactory completion criteria:  Complete pre-/post-test, view all modules and video clips, complete all associated quizzes, submit course evaluation.  AOTA Content Focus -- Occupational Therapy Process: Evaluation.
