The Otago Exercise Program (OEP) is an individually tailored balance and strength fall prevention program delivered by a Physical Therapist. OEP has been tested and demonstrated to be effective for reducing falls and fall-related injuries among high-risk individuals. OEP uses standardized exercises of progressive difficulty to improve strength and balance, combined with a walking program. This seminar will explain the concepts of OEP and how to integrate this program as part of the PT plan of care.
